It’s now time for Round 2 of our Etsy Contest. For those of you just joining us, I am a fan of Etsy(www.etsy.com), where only handmade and vintage items can be sold, and wanted to make others more aware of what Etsy has to offer. I also sell on Etsy.
Our next giveaway is a Pump n Stuff Pack by Donna and here is a quick bio about her and her products and most importantly, WHY she makes them.
I started making these Pump N Stuff packs for my 9 year old son when he went on an insulin pump. He was a little concerned about wearing it and people seeing it, so we designed a little pack for it. He loved it so much he started asking for more. We would spend hours in the fabric store looking for something he liked. He can now choose a pack daily to match his clothing choice or his mood.
He soon realized their were more uses for them than just for insulin pumps. They are great for retainers, inhalers, keys, cell phones, small ipods (nanos I believe they are) rosaries, notes from Mom at lunchtime..snack moneyetc…
They can be made larger to accomodate sunglasses, feminie hygiene products..( great for the young teen entering womanhood and in high school).
They have a belt loop double stitched on the backside for wearing on a belt, or they can be dropped into a backpack, purse, lunch box, etc… They have a sheet of batting sewn in and have a color matching liner also. They are held closed with a large strip of hook and loop (velcro)
They can be made in any fabric pattern or color of your choice. Just ask and I will go on a fabric search for you..Tyler loves doing that..:)
