Drexel Off-Campus Housing
While the majority of drexel undergraduate students live on campus, drexel graduate students, nursing students, and fellows tend to find off-campus drexel housing. The University City neighborhood in Philadelphia PA is popular among students because it offers modern amenities and a short commute to the University. With options like keyless entry, brand-new kitchens with the latest appliances, wood flooring, and soft-close cabinets, it’s easy to see why drexel off-campus housing is so popular.
How many students at UPenn live on campus?
Students who are looking for an apartment near the drexel off-campus housing will want to consider neighborhoods like Powelton Village, West Powelton, and University City Core. These neighborhoods offer a wide range of apartments, including those that are pet-friendly. Rent prices in these areas begin around $1,799 a month and can go as high as $4,500 a month depending on size and building features.
Many students choose to live off-campus because it’s cheaper than on-campus drexel housing. However, the school is tangling with property owners in the area by attempting to restrict student housing. They’re currently defending a law that prohibits more than three unrelated people from living together in the same house. Austin Paragas, a sophomore entertainment and arts management major, believes the school is creating a monopoly by pushing the new rules.
He adds that the co-op program at drexel is a great opportunity that anyone should take advantage of. He says it gives you a taste of the real world and can boost your resume. It’s also a good way to meet new people from different parts of the country and the world. The school also has a ton of clubs and organizations that you can join to get involved in.
